June 3: Marketing teachers’ night and delivering vouchers to high schools

Last Friday, we selected our schools for our teachers’ day. Therefore, today, I did not go to the stadium. Instead, I went to 15 high schools at Prince George County delivering our vouchers and promotion schedules. Most of the time, the administration gave me a positive response about our teachers’ night. However, when I went to xxx high school, the administrator gave me a hard time.

She said: “I do not like sports! I do not want to go to your games. What will you do?” Suddenly, I was shocked. However, my past sales working experience saved me. I asked her: “What kind of activities are you interested in?” She said:” I like bingo!” Then I replied:” I will tell my boss to design a bingo night and invite you to our game. Are you interested in this idea?” She smiled. I knew I successfully solved this problem. Actually, I believe this situation can make me better and really appreciated her problems.

  1. You will get a LOT rejections in the sales world, and that's a great respond to that lady. Great job! Keep asking open ended questions and you will get some surprise!
